A bought 2 by 4 foot fiberglass or mineral wool panel from GIK Acoustics or ATS Acoustics costs about $90 to $120. Build your own and the core and fabric run about $45 before the wood frame. Prices below are manufacturer list prices at the time of writing.

The DIY number comes from panel makers that also sell raw materials. ATS Acoustics sells a 6-pack of 2 inch Owens Corning 703 for $139.99 (about $23 a board).
