Terms of Use

Updated

These terms cover your use of homerecordingbook.com. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

General information, not professional advice

Everything here is general information about recording at home. It isn't professional advice for your room, your building, or your situation, and we can't see your space or your gear.

Safety first. Some pages cover building work: framing, drywall, sealing doors, and changes near outlets and wiring. Follow your local building and electrical codes, use a licensed electrician for anything electrical, and get your landlord's or HOA's permission before you change a rental or shared building. Keep monitor and headphone levels at a safe volume, since loud sound over time can damage your hearing.

Gear, specs, and prices

Specs and prices come from manufacturers and change without notice. Price bands and listed prices are as of the date on each page. Check the maker's current page and the seller's price before you buy. We don't sell anything, and we aren't responsible for any purchase you make from a third party.

Calculator results

The acoustic panel calculator gives an estimate from the numbers you enter and the published coverage targets it uses. It's a starting point, not a guarantee of how your room will sound.

We link to other websites as sources. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or policies.
